A descriptive look at traveling and full-timing with our second RV, a fifth wheel toyhauler.
Laura and Sasha started this adventure in April of 2005
for a two week vacation in a truck camper.
February 2010: At Lake Mead National Recreation Area
As you can see, we have a new look to the website; I am trying to update while learning a new program. While Dreamweaver is easier to use in some ways, it is also harder in others. But I am trying and hope to have this up to speed in the next couple of weeks. Right now it is being uploaded as part of the www.Laura-n-Sasha.com/blog but the old pages are up as well.
Anyway, I got the offer in February, and I stopped working at Lake Mead in March, so check out that month's page.
We have tons of pictures again this month, I am trying out different layouts to see which works best, so one month is with tables (January) then the next month is aligned to the right and left of the page, and then we shall see; I am trying to find a great method, because we take SO many pictures but I have yet to find the perfect solution.
We took some pictures for my talk about Geology Out the Window. Although I did not give the program, I was able to take some great pictures. So here are a few of them.
Old Mine
Old Spanish Trail - it runs through this area.
Lake Las Vegas and the cool geology here.
Flowing Wash (from Las Vegas area)
Fortification Hill - although we did not climb it, Lake Mead does lead hikes up there.
We did take a nice hike to Anniversary Mines and Narrows. So the next couple of pictures are of that area. However, our battery died when we were in the canyon, so we do not have pictures of that. Have to remember to keep that camera charged!
Ore Car Mine
This is the trail, it follows a wash.
Anniversary Mine. It was named that because the guy bought it for his wife on their anniversary. Sounds sweet.
We thought this was pretty cool, seeing Geology in action (well not really, the land did not slump while we were there) but as far as "geologic time" goes, this is pretty recent a slump.
Beginning of the canyon walk and the dead camera. Sorry folks, but you will just have to go on the hike to see the beautiful views.

As we stated in the February Expenses, we got a dual sport motorcycle for Sasha, so we have a couple of pictures of him riding back to Lake Mead, and one of the rides he went on.

New Bike where it is best suited
Beautiful Day, Handsome Man (not that I am biased or anything :)
There was only one sign to tell you which way to go. How are people supposed to know...I do not know.
That was the road!

There is a road here...that is good.
Cool views

Back Home
Well, we have lots more pictures in March; we will be headed to Canyonlands and do a bit of hiking there. I just had one more day of work at Lake Mead, on March 3rd. So check out March.
Check out Next Month March for the Expenses, and March 2010 Pictures for the explanation of what we were doing that month, and all of the pictures we have. There are lots!
