A descriptive look at traveling and full-timing with our second RV, a fifth wheel toyhauler.
Laura and Sasha started this adventure in April of 2005
for a two week vacation in a truck camper.
November 2010: Back East Visiting Family and Friends - Part 3
So November was a busy month for us, going hether and yon seeing old friends and family too.
So after Thanksgiving, Sasha's parents stayed over at my parent's house and we got to see them before they left. My sister and her family saw where we were for the campground too.
November 27th: Then we saw Carolyn and Ed and we went back to the BBQ place in near Norfolk - Smoking Joe's. It was quite nice to see them, and to get caught up with what they are doing and where they are headed next. They were not full-timers when we first met them, but now they are and they really seem to enjoy it. See, you can be a full-timer if you plan for it.
Then I found out that there would be a freeze on the salaries of federal employees. As a federal employee (yes even Seasonal Park Rangers are federal employees!) I would not get a pay raise for two years. Thankfully, working and living in a National Park has its own rewards. And from 2009 to 2010, I got a $.026 raise, so that was not much to think about anyway. As long as we do not go to furlough, I do not really care.

So the last day of the month, November 30th: Sasha was able to get a traveling repairman to help him put the new tires on the truck. Sasha had ordered them, and they had come on an 18-wheeler to the campground. So it was better that it was sent to the campground than to my parent's gated community. Boy, that would have been interesting to see am 18-wheeler going around some of those streets! Anyway, here are the pictures.
So we had a great month, saw lots of family and friends and life is good! Onto December, we will be leaving shortly to head back out west.
