November 2010: Back East Visiting Family and Friends

So November was a busy month for us, going hether and yon seeing old friends and family too.

Starting the month off right, we had dinner over at Yvonne's for a nice family dinner. We had so much fun with family tonight - Excellent food and wine, but some of the best things: serenading (instrumental bass by Johnny - Rage Against the Machine!), good conversation with Mama & Dad J, tasty food by Ally, chit chatting with Kristina, and lovely sis Yvonne - wow - give me a YellowPort purse, almost exactly like my old purse, but a little bit bigger and eco-friendly to boot!

Map This is Johnny - playing the guitar and doing pretty good with it. He will be going to Finland in August of 2011 for college.

Map Unfortunately, no one is looking at the picture-taker, but this was taken on November 1st. We had just finished dinner and Johnny is playing in the background.

November 4th: We had dinner with Melanie and Alan at their house, very nice! No pictures unfortunately, but she is part of the book group and a truly great friend.

November 6th: went out to Jackson's in Reston, VA with Leo, Annie, and Richard. It was great to catch up with them. We had a nice dinner and drinks and it was fun to be back in the area again.

November 7th: Heading down to Richmond to be with my folks and to celebrate Brenden's Birthday! (A little late but it spreads out the birthday so that you can celebrate it longer!)

November 10th: Sasha was helping out his folks with something I could not help him with (I think it was the electrical stuff in his father's office) so I went into DC to the US Botanical Gardens, checked out some art work, and went to the Natural History Museum. I then met Sasha and we headed to Leo's house to sleep over. It was great to see Leo and Karen. But here are some pictures from the Museums:

Map Such beauty
Map This was an amazing display. Each flower had a different smell, all of those little ones had different scents to them. It was really cool, both artistic, entertaining, and educational.
Map Look at that blue - cornflower blue.
Map I hope to someday have peppers like this for Sasha.
Map This is for Lindsay and anyone else who loves pink. And yes, it is real.

This is not a real tree, look at it carefully maybe even enlarge, but it is not a real tree. I have gone outside into an artist's garden.

And which way is the house facing?

Topez for Brenden, that is his birth stone. Sorry Lindsay, the diamonds did not come in focus too well.

So instead some purple and pink shiny rocks! Your favorite colors.

So Sasha met me at the metro, and we headed to Leo & Karen's - we had dinner at the Basset restaurant in Poolesville, MD and then stayed with them overnight. Leo showed us his business - all of his buildings - we will have to watch movies when we come back, there are lots to see.

We then headed up to New Jersey to see some of my friends. Darlene and Amy were there and we got a good picture off. This was on November 11th. We stayed over Darlene's house and got to chat with Mary Beth and Emma! Had a great time visiting friends, first Leo & Karen last night - movie night, then tonight with Darlene, Amy, & Mary Beth, plus a nice chat with Emma. Jersey Girls are the best!

I was able to help out Darlene and Andrew with some mail merge stuff - still able to help people out with software help. My trainer vibes still work!

Bo wrote on Sasha's wall - TGIF, and Sasha wrote back, Every day is Friday to Me. So true. I love the lifestyle we have.

November 14th: We had a great time with our niece and nephew, saw MegaMind in 3D and spent time with Chloe (their dog). Saturday out to pizza and Sunday saw MegaMind in 3D and then went for a long walk with the kiddies and Chloe, fun time had by all.

Since I put a bunch of pictures on this page, please go to the next page of November, to check out the info and pictures, especially for Thanksgiving and the New Tires we got for the RV.
