Ode to Joy, 2007
I got out my cards not in December – it seemed like the month just flew by, but did get them out right after Christmas. I am going to put the poem up here, to be read as though you are singing Jingle Bells:
Ode to Joy
From Laura and Sasha
(To be read to the tune of Jingle Bells, sort of)
Well, the year started off most interestingly
I have to say it’s true.
We came back from an awesome vacation,
And decided what to do.
We put our house on the Market,
Sold all of our Stuff
We decided we did not want a house no more
We had had enough.
Laura worked her business, volunteering,
Marketing and selling the house,
Sasha spent long hours, at work, working out,
and designing our trailer; and no one was a louse.
Our House was under Contract,
on Easter evening, April Eight,
We had the house inspection, appraisal, house content sale, radon remediation, glass cutters, Salvation Army, moving company, and cleaning people,
By the May Fourth date.
We started our new life,
At Prince William Forest Park.
We have now moved three times
And that was not a lark!
We are now in a Park cabin,
Laura is looking for a new position.
Sasha gets to telecommute –
What a great decision!
We hope you have enjoyed your year,
As much as we have had,
And we can invite you now,
To come to our new pad.
A Merry Christmas to you,
We know that this is Late,
But this took a while to compose,
And that was just our Fate!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Life is Good – Hugs and Love

We shall see how 2008 works for us….
