Uraling the Back Way into Capitol Reef National Park

Cathedral Valley Capitol Reef NP

Uraling the back roads of Capital Reef and Cathedral Valley, 4-11-16

This series of pictures was taken on April 11th, 2016.

As we make our way north to be in West Yellowstone May 1st, we were boondocking near Hanksville, Utah in the San Rafael Desert, which is about 36 miles from Capitol Reef National Park. We took yet another sweet ride on our Ural sidecar motorcycle.

We experienced unreal scenery and made another (raw) POV video which will be the basis of a series of Ural videos when I get a chance to edit and produce them.

Cathedral Valley is a BLM area to the east of Capitol Reef National Park. We wanted to see the Temple of the Sun and Temple of the Moon monoliths which are located in a very remote section of the park. The access road through Cathedral Valley was spectacular as well. The scenery there is just as nice as inside the park’s borders.

Highly recommended.
